The charming character of a traditional Marche country house
‘Il Tiglio’ is a rural smallholding, known locally as a ‘casa colonica’. It has been tastefully restored and refurbished. Although now fully modernised the house still retains the character of a traditional Marche country house. The house consists in 4 apartments, with a maximum capacity of 14 people. 2 of the apartments are equipped for the use of the disabled (a total of 4 beds).
Every apartment has either one or two bedrooms, bathroom, equipped kitchen and lounge area. The apartments all have central heating. We also have a telephone and internet connection on site. In the centre of the spacious courtyard there is a seating area with gazebo where you can enjoy your meals outside overlooking the spendid scenery. We also have an outdoor BBQ for the use of all guests. Visitors to the Country House can enjoy many local food and wine festivals,such as the annual ‘Cantine Aperte’ event which takes place during the last weekend of May when all the cantinas in the area are open to the public for a very popular wine tasting weekend. There are also many historic towns and villages in the area and numerous walking and cycling paths. The abbeys of ‘Sant’Elena’ and ‘Maria delle Moie’, both Romanesque style, as well as the beatiful abbey of ‘San Vittore’ are enormously interesting to visit.The ‘Grotte di Frasassi’ spectacular caves are just 15km away. The Country House is easily accessible,based in the centre of the Esina Valley,with the SS76 closeby which links Rome with Ancona. There is a local horseriding stables where you can enjoy trekking in the heart of the beautiful Marche landscape. Within a few kms of ‘Il Tiglio’ there are many services on offer. 18km away at Apiro there is the ‘Eldorado’ acquapark. The town of Moie has a public swimming pool (Xkm). At Macine di Castelpiano there is a gym and health and beauty centre. Golf lovers can visit Jesi or travel a little further to the beautiful surroundings at Sirolo. Here you can also enjoy breathtaking views over the coastline of the Monte Conero National Park.
