A charming bed and breakfast in Tuscany by the sea of Maremma
The B&B Locanda della Fonte is situated about 1,5 km from the center of Monteverdi Marittimo (Pisa).
The house, plunged in the “alta Maremma” country is surrounded by olive trees, cypresses, fruit trees and kitchen gardens.
The building of new construction has been built according to the standard of the Tuscan style with raftering ceilings and lime painted plasters as tradition has it.
Inside you can find sober, comfortable and very welcoming rooms; a 45 sm. arcade is the nice extension of the house towards outside, where it is possible to have breakfast , to read, to idle.
The swimming pool (m 5 x m 10 x m 1,5 deep) is situated in a large sunny area from where you can appreciate the surrounded landscape.
Few meters far from the B&B in an old ‘casale’ the owners lives and they ‘ll be very pleased to welcome you at your arrival.
THE ROOMS
The 6 double rooms, some of them whit an independent entrance, are all en-suite with shower and they’re furnished in a simple and essential way, as the rest of the house with a touch of a ‘provençal style’.
As a choice there are no TV sets either in the rooms or in the dining room as the B&B Locanda della Fonte is for people who look for moments of total abstraction from every day life in the quiet Tuscan country.
