In Sicily, in the territory of Syracuse, the bed and breakfast "Zagara e Cannella" is situated in the heart of Peninsula Maddalena, surrounded by the beautiful frame of the Marine protected area of Plemmirio. Just 500 Metres far from the seaside, the villa is surrounded by the greenery of bougainvilleas, palms and pine trees. The garden is the perfect place to relax in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Staying at B&B "Zagara e Canella" is an immersion on a variety of scents and colours peculiar of a land that was the cradle of Magna Graecia culture.
All the guest rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished. The rooms are also provided with wide balconies or solarium terraces, as well as the living room at the ground floor. It is possible to choose among the Lemons' Cottage, the Poppies' Room and the Sirocco's Room.
Among the many places to visit during the stay there are the enchanting beaches and rocky white cliffs along the coast (Plemmirio, Arenella, Terrauzza, Fontane Bianche), the island of Ortigia, the historical city center of Siracusa, the baroque center of Noto and also the vineyards' area of the prestigious wine known as "Nero d'Avola". It is also really easy to reach the extreme part of the south-east corner of Sicily where you can visit the Natural Reserve of Vendicari and the island of Capo Passsero.
