The apartments at the "Villino Giulia" Guest House are part of a complex from the 1930's, just 5 km from Florence city centre. The pretty Guest House, immersed in the Florentine countryside between the "Certosa di Firenze" Monastery and Bellosguardo Hill, has been carefully restructured to be transformed into three warm and welcoming apartments, which have been given the following names: La Pigna (Pine Cone), Gli Stemmi (Coats of Arms), and i Panieri (Baskets), all fitted out with furniture from the early-Twentieth Century, which helps to give the place character and to make you feel right at home. The Guest House is right beside the Bibe Trattoria, an old famous Florentine eatery sung about by the award-winning poet Eugenio Montale and run by the Guest House owners.
The three independent Guest House apartments all have different styles to meet the varying demands of our guests. "La Pigna (Pine Cone)" is a small pretty apartment designed for 2 people. It has a small private garden, a double sofa bed, a bathroom with shower and a little kitchenette. "Gli Stemmi (Coats of Arms)" is a warm two-room apartment for up to four people and has a living room with a kitchen unit and sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The "Pine Cone" and "Coats of Arms" apartments lead onto each other. "I Panieri (Baskets)", which takes up all of the first floor of the Guest House, is the biggest and nicest of the three apartments. It has an elegant living room with open kitchen and a small balcony, a fine bedroom, a raised area with a sofa bed and a spacious bathroom with shower.
The "Villino Giulia" Guest House provides a bed and breakfast service, so in each of the kitchen units you will find everything you need to prepare your breakfast. When the weather is good, you can have your breakfast outdoors, in the Guest House garden.
On request, you can also make use of the half board service offered here, as well as take-away and wine shop services offered by the much-loved Bibe Trattoria. This restaurant's wine cellar offers a vast selection of Tuscan, Italian and French wines.
The Guest House is linked to the city centre by a bus service and is easy to get to coming from the Firenze Certosa exit on the A1 motorway (just 3 km away). The Guest House is the perfect starting point for trips to Pisa, Siena and the Chianti area. The Guest House has car park spaces for those who come by car.
The "Villino Giulia" Guest House is the ideal spot for visiting Florence and surrounding areas, far away from the traffic of the city and surrounded by the most genuine Tuscan culture of good cuisine.
