An aristocratic Villa for your stay it the Lido of Venice
Villa Berghinz was built for the Berghinz family in the late 1920s in the Lido of Venice, at a time when the fashion of sea-bathing spread all over Europe. The Lido became one of the most exclusive seaside resorts: here members of the European aristocracy and the international smart-set met each summer to enjoy the sea-bathing as well as the treasures of art in the nearby historical center of Venice. Villa Berghinz displays a characteristic neo-gothic style, typical of the Liberty residences that gave the Lido an international fame.
It has been recently restored to its old glory and is now a Bed&Breakfast Guest House. The Villa, whose large garden invites to relax from the everyday stressful life, is also the perfect base for all kinds of excursions: you can explore the calli and campi of Venice or spend the day at the nearby beach.
Surrounded by the rich vegetation of a breezy neighborhood, the Villa offers three large rooms (more than 25sqm),each furnished with three beds. All rooms have adjoining private bathroom. The standard equipment of each room is a wardrobe, a desk, table with chairs, satellite TV and air conditioning. Small pets are admitted.
The bathrooms are equipped with a wash basin (hot water), toilette, bidet und shower cabin. Towels are provided.
Villa Berghinz , completely restored, has been inaugurated in 2004 and is open all year round. Its position is a strategic one: with a five minutes' walk you can reach not only the beach, but also the vaporetto (boat) stop connecting Lido to St. Mark's Square (fifteen minutes), to the Biennale Gardens (five minutes), or to the Railway Station and the car terminal of Piazzale Roma (approx. forty minutes). A convenient boat connection to/from the Marco Polo airport is also available.
