The "Sotto la Palma" B&B is in Sciacca, on the south west coast of Sicily, right in the heart of one of the most beautiful and interesting archaeological areas in the whole world, right in the heart of Magna Grecia (ancient Greek settlements in Southern Italy), between Selinunte and the Valley of the Temples. The city boasts a clean sea, large fully-equipped beaches, a historic city centre truly brimming with Arab and Baroque surprises, famous spa centres open all year round, arts and crafts with a long and great tradition (such as the amazing local ceramics), the freshest fish and sea food, wonderful local cakes and desserts, a Carnival period which will simply take your breath away and the simple beauty of relaxing three hundred and sixty five days a year.
The B&B consists of two outhouses to the main home (where the owners live), an elegant country Villa with a swimming pool among the green nature of a Mediterranean garden with a view of the sea. Just in case you are worried about your privacy, the outhouses and main villa are all clearly separated.
The Mimosa apartment is a single-room apartment which is designed elegantly with handy furniture and "jewels" from the ancient Sicilian tradition. The visible ceiling beams in the bathroom and bedroom and the age-old main door make this delightful apartment, which has a double room, a TV and a private bathroom with a shower, truly special. The Mimosa apartment is completely silent: you cannot fail to relax here.
The "Gelsomino (Jasmine)" apartment is a two-room apartment which can house up to 5 people. It is designed elegantly following the ancient Sicilian traditions and has all mod cons. It consists of a large living room with visible ceiling beams, fired brickwork flooring, a mini-kitchen with splendid brickwork (the cooker unit is wall-mounted while the fine sink units are made from traditional ceramics), a microwave oven, a fridge, satellite TV, a sofa bed for two, a double bedroom with air conditioning and a bathroom with a shower. The outside of the apartment is surrounded by green nature and areas with amenities for relaxing away in the open air.
Guests are free to use the swimming pool in the park surrounding the B&B, the barbecue and the huge garden. Linen is provided by the owners and you can also make use of a laundry where there is a washing machine as well as all the products you will need for washing. The yard has a private internal car park.
The enchanting crystalline sea and the white beaches of Sciacca are just a few minutes away by car.
