San Frediano Mansion is your chance to take a trip in the Florentine Renaissance. This bed and breakfast, right in the heart of Florence, is located in an important historic Florentine building built in the Fifteenth Century. The interior still today maintains fine artistic decorations, works of art and frescoes. You can also enter the Mansion from the beautiful garden at the back (Lungarno Sederini). The parterre still maintains its original Eighteenth-Century design. The rooms, then, are spacious and well-lit and have all mod cons.
The 4 rooms are stylishly furnished. They are large and roomy and all have comfortable private en-suite bathrooms and satellite televisions. One of the 4 rooms has beds for four while the other three are double rooms to which an extra bed can be added for a third person, if required.
The ancient history of this amazing renaissance building can also be seen by the splendid fresco on the ground floor featuring Saint Joseph and the Madonna and Child. The building was developed in the Eighteenth Century by the Marchesi Capponi, a famous Florentine noble family. In the Nineteenth Century, the building was again transformed, this time in a neo-Renaissance style.
Just a few hundred metres from Ponte Vecchio, the location of the bed and breakfast is ideal for those looking to visit all the wonders of Florence on foot. There is also a handy city car park just around the corner from the Mansion.
