Relaxing stay surrounded by the untouched nature of Pollino Natural Park
The "San Fele" Guest Farmhouse, which boasts 57 hectares, is inside the Pollino Natural Park, at the foot of Mount Sellaro. Thanks to this excellent strategic position, about 400 metres above sea level, here you have a wonderful panorama ranging from Piana di Sibari to the Ionian Sea and the Sila mountain range. The Farmhouse is in a pretty green area, mainly consisting of Mediterranean scrub, famous for its beautiful range of colours and lines of age-old olive trees. At this Farmhouse, you can taste typical Calabrian food produce, go horse riding and trekking or just simply relax. The Farmhouse has very recently been restored and is a typical old-style Calabrian farm, with colonial home, stables and sheepfold.
The farmhouse maintains all the rural features and original materials of these famous Calabrian structures: stone and wood, which have been used to create six charming apartments with bathrooms, and a restaurant room where you can enjoy the lovely traditional tastes of Calabrian cuisine.
Here, you can head off on lovely walks along the various mule tracks leading you into uncontaminated natural landscapes. These fine landscapes, surrounded by a whole series of grottoes and caves, will bring to mind times past, when this territory was dominated by nature and the bandit who took refuge here.
The Farmhouse adheres to the canons of biological agriculture and produced typical Calabrian delights: olives and oil, figs, vegetables, wine, meats, cheese, fruit and a whole range of marmalades and jams.
This territory, with its fascinating history and traditions offers an amazing range of activities to keep you busy: go to the mountains or the sea, take an adventure by walking alongside the bed of the Raganello river or take a stroll in the Pollino Natural Park. Visit the archaeological sites at Sibari and Francavilla Marittima or stop off at the relaxing spa waters and muds at Cerchiara di Calabria; go horse-riding to visit the Madonna delle Armi Sanctuary, created in the rocks at Cerchiara di C.
Sport, good food and wine, relaxation and contact with lovely nature make this Farmhouse the perfect chance to really see one of the most unspoilt parts of Italy.
