Podere Monti" is a Holiday Farm which is notable for its sophistication and attention to detail. It is located on the slopes of Mount Cappuccini which, alongside Mount Totona and the Montepulciano Hills, separates the Valdichiana valley area from the Val d'Orcia valley area. The Farm, spread over an area of 450 square metres, has been recently restructured with considerable attention to both old building techniques and environment-friendly salvage materials. Guests have access to two elegant Suites, consisting of a bedroom, a dining room, and five double rooms with bathrooms.
There are also several guest areas where you can enjoy the truly magic atmosphere of total relaxation which the Holiday Farm guarantees: a Reading Room with fireplace, a large living room, a kitchen, two Lunch Rooms (one inside, one outside), an open-air swimming pool, a natural lake and a large garden surrounded by woods and olive groves.
The two Suites are both huge and have double rooms with four-poster beds, and day and night areas with independent entrances. The walls are painted with slaked yellow Siena lime. The bathrooms, which are also very stylish, have porcelain bathtubs which are also antiques, as are the stones on the walls. The Suite dedicated to "Andrea Pozzo" is 58 square metres in size and the bedroom is separated from the living room by an arched door. One of the bedroom walls has visible stones and brickwork. The "Agnolo Poliziano" Suite is 60 square metres in size and the bedroom is separated from the living room by a large vault.
The other five rooms are all also furnished in style. The Room dedicated to "Michelozzo Michelozzi", whose walls are painted in slaked green lime, faces, on one side, an age-old pear tree and a natural lake belonging to the Farm company and, on the other side, offers a splendid view of Montepulciano. The "Della Robbia" Room, whose dominant colour is sky blue, has a view of the Farm's garden and of Montepulciano. The "Baldassarre Peruzzi" Room, painted in antique pink, has a window overlooking the olive grove belonging to the Farm company and another window from which you can admire all of the Val di Chiana Valley.
The "Vignola" Room, then, faces the swimming pool and Mount Cappuccini on one side and the splendid Turkey oak tree wood surrounding the farmhouse on the other side. The walls are painted in old slaked yellow lime. All these Rooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers and the basin used as a sink is laid on tables which were once used as troughs in the farm's stables. The "Taddeo di Bartolo" Room, which has an independent entrance, can also be used by the disabled. One of the Room's walls has visible stones and brickwork while the other walls are painted in slaked white lime.
All of the rooms have fired brick ceilings and rafters or, at times, while the flooring is old wood logs; the bathroom flooring is "cocciopesto" mosaic flooring, reproduced using the old materials and techniques of the Etruscans. The furnishing such as the internal doors makes complete use of antique Tuscan furniture units. All the beds are King-size beds, lovely single units in hand-wrought iron.
For large groups who want to make use of the Holiday Farm in a totally independent and exclusive manner, you can rent the entire Farm just for yourselves.
The Podere Monti Holiday Farm has local paths which you can wander along on foot or on bikes. On foot, it is no distance at all to the "Terme di Montepulciano" Spas which offer a vast range of innovative services and programs for total physical regeneration, with made-to-measure face and body treatments. Not to mention tennis (just 500 metres away), an Olympic-size swimming pool (100 metres away), a horse-racing centre (1 km) and golf (30 minutes).
