"Le Logge di Silvignano" Roof Terrace Lodges is a Historic Home which dates back to the Eleventh and Fourteenth Centuries and which has been converted into a splendid Bed and Breakfast. A stunning octagonal-pillar arcade adorns the façade here. Looking out from the Lodges, you will see from the Valley of Spoleto as far as Assisi, not to mention a green mass of olive groves. Here, large comfortable suites are part of the warm and relaxed atmosphere and, together with a fine series of local arts and crafts on show and fabrics from Montefalco, are the essence of the style and warmth of the B&B owners, Alberto and Diana.
There are five suites in all and they are elegantly furnished and for non-smoking couples only! The "Arches" Suite has lovely stone walls and visible "barrel" and "cross" vaults, with direct access to the garden, with a fine view of the valley below. The "Elia" Suite boasts a truly romantic atmosphere, with a large living room, and you can make use of the Tuscan brick fireplace. The bedroom hides an old dungeon of the B&B residence out of which a changing room has been created. "Elia due (2)" is a loft which looks onto the roofs of Silvignano, with the bedroom on a large and pretty raised level. The private terrace is a natural solarium which dominates the valley below.
"Iride (Iris)" also looks onto the Valley, with its five large Fifteenth-Century windows guiding you towards Montefalco and Assisi. In the living room, there is an old fireplace and a stone holy water stoup. Wooden and Tuscan brick beams and sunny colours make this Suite warm and welcoming. Finally, "Il Loggiato" Suite: three rooms with warm and elegant furniture which has room for two couples. Three grand French windows look onto the roof terraces from which the B&B residence takes its name. The floors are made from old Tuscan stone, as are the two large fireplaces, while the bed is a nice canopy bed.
The Bed and Breakfast furnishings boast a mix of antique furniture and family items. Alberto and Diana live here too and themselves look after everything, from the fine breakfasts to providing all the information you may need to ensure you have an exciting and pleasant stay here.
The Suites are just for adult couples and we do not provide extra beds. Children above the age of 12 are welcome if accompanied by a single adult. Although we adore pets, we don't allow them in. You can use the mini-kitchen, then, to make coffee, tea and other hot drinks or to mix the drinks provided in the mini-bars in your Suites.
The location of the B&B is perfect for visiting Spoleto, just 9 km away, with its several nice monuments like the Cathedral, Piazza Fontana and the fine fountain and market and a lovely Roman home: a must for art lovers. Assisi, then, is just a day trip away (30 km).
Within a radius of 3 km of the B&B, then, there are tennis courts, a swimming pool and a horse riding centre."Le Logge di Silvignano" Lodges are just perfect, then, for those looking for a relaxing, comfortable and exclusive holiday in close contact with both nature and art.
