"La Locanda del Castello " is located in the old part of the small ancient hamlet inside the walls surrounding the castle of S.Giovanni D'Asso, wich dates back to the 1500, built in lime-stone and bricks. Outside the Locanda there's a small square "piazzetta" that brings you back to the attracting Tuscan countryside of the "Crete Senesi ". The owners refined taste is mirrored in the furniture wich decorate La Locanda del Castello, giving a special touch of exclusiveness in an atmosphere wich brings you back to another time.
The hotel has nine rooms each of them called with names of flowers ( six double room and 3 suites with a living room for relax ). They are decorated with old family furniture, with a fine view on the hamlets roofs and the soft Sienese hills
All the rooms are very comfortable with telephone, air conditioning, satellite tv , safekeeping box, mini bar and hairdryer. The bathrooms are spacious and well lit, reflecting the special care dedicated to the smallest detail and elegance.
The restaurant "la Locanda del Castello " is located in the oldest part of the building, just few steps away the walls surrounding the Castle. It offers its guest the flavour of old Tuscan recipes.Among its delicious specialities stand the local white truffle, pecorino cheese, salted meats of Siena territory, honey and saffron, served with Tuscan red wines to meet the most sophisticated taste.
