The Apulian "La Fogliarella" Trulli complex, in the heart of Valle D'Itria, just a few minutes from the lovely beaches of Ostuni, immersed among two hectares of olive groves, is a charming combination of tradition and all mod cons. Among olive trees, carob trees, fig trees, prickly-pear trees and almond trees, the Trulli, the traditional dwellings in this area, have been cleverly restructured to offer amazing hospitality of immeasurable charm, with all mod cons and complete relaxation guaranteed.
The furnishing inside the constructions include antique furniture items and accessories, mostly English, to pay tribute to a place which has made living in the countryside a real genuine lifestyle.
The complex consists of a central unit which has three bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a loft and has room for up four persons.
Right beside the central unit, you find the various independent structures: the old "Trullo Vecchio", which includes a Nineteenth-Century Trulli suite with two bedrooms, a sitting room with a fireplace, a cooking area in an "alcove" and a nice comfortable bathroom built into the walls of the building - 100% stone and mortar. In addition, there is the "Apulia" mini-apartment with a double room, sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and private fully-equipped garden; the "Tulletto" with a "trullo" barrel-vaulted roof with a double bed, two extra places in the sitting room, a kitchen, bathroom and fully-equipped garden with terrace; the big "Trullo Grande" with a "trullo" barrel-vaulted roof which has 2 double beds, a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and fully-equipped paved garden and terrace/solarium.
The complex has no shortage of recreational areas for all the guests: from the large hall with fireplace and barrel-vaulted ceiling to a library containing over 1000 volumes in several European languages, as well as lovely furnished areas ideal for reading or chatting away. This area has a brick oven and a barbecue.
Outside choose from the following: cross the expansive olive groves surrounding the complex to get to the stunning Valle D'Itria, the greenest and most shaded part of Puglia; the beautiful beaches of Ostuni are just 15 minutes away; Grottaglie is ceramic paradise; the Locorotondo and Alberobello Trulli; the Castellana grottoes; the baroque wonders of Martina Franca; the Dolmen in Montalbano and the splendid museum in Taranto.
