Hotel Villa Romana is located in Porto Empedocle, in the heart of one of the most fascinating areas of Sicily, just a few kilometres away from the house/museum of the Italian novelist Luigi Pirandello and from the "Valle dei Templi", one of the few places in the world listed in the Unesco World Inheritage. The ruins of the ancient "Villa Romana" and the impressive white cliff known as "Scala dei Turchi" (the Turkish Staircase) are about one kilometre away.
The most fond of reading probably know that the place where the hotel is located, Marinella, on the Punta Piccola Beach, is also the place where inspector Montalbano, the legendary hero of Andrea Camilleri's novels, lives.
The 43 rooms of the hotel, all recently built and furnished in a modern style, have all mod cons: a large bathroom, direct telephone line, mini-bar, hair dryer, independent air conditioning, electronic card locks, safe, personalised bed linen and bathroom towels, courtesy kit and writing set. Almost all of the rooms have a balcony or a solarium terrace with sea-view.
