The Conca d'oro Hotel was founded in 1949 from an idea of Giovanni Cappiello. An ancient villa in Positano, in the middle of a beautiful garden full of orange and lemon trees. Guests love the setting of the hotel surrounded by Mediterranean scents and colours. Since its foundation, the Hotel has been owned by the same family. With enthusiasm and passion they continue to welcome guests offering kindness and warmth, something you can find only in a family hotel.
The hotel, facing the Positano sea, offers a stunning view. Guests have three types of rooms to choose from. Junior: room with bath &/or shower, hairdryer, telephone and sea view; Superior:
the superior rooms have private facilities, bath &/or shower Jacuzzi, Tv-Sat, telephone, hairdryer, A/C, terrace with sea view; Suite: suite with bath & shower, Jacuzzi tub in the room, hairdryer, telephone, TV-SAT, A/C, sofa, fridge & a big terrace with a splendid sea view.
The terrace restaurant dominates the enchanting area where one can admire the marvellous panorama. The excellent cuisine, prepared in our own special way, exalt the ancient flavours of the Mediterranean.
Positano is not just a perfect point of departure for tours and excursions, but also a village full of activity and life. The houses, one on top of the other, the narrow streets - with the numberless boutiques - descends rapidly between the houses, like floods through the rocky mountain passes, and they all flow out on the main beach " Spiaggia Grande". From there it may be the only place where the view behind your shoulders above the village is more beautiful than the view over the sea in front of you.
