Six spacious rooms in a large, quiet apartment located on the first floor of an historical palace in the heart of Florence. The property is just a few steps away from the Duomo and Santa Croce Church. It has been in current owner's family since the beginning of the 1900s. Completely restructured in 2005, the apartment offers single, double and triple rooms (each with its own private bathroom), a large breakfast room and a living room for relaxing in. Casa Rovai is tastefully decorated with original 19th and 20th century furniture.Each room has its own private bathroom (inside the room or just outside), colour TV with satellite channels (Sat-TV), free ADSL internet connection and a safe.
Here you have a description of each room:
La Passione: This room is named "the Passion" after the late sixteenth century frescoes representing scenes of the Via Crucis that can be found on the bedroom walls. It is a double room with an en-suite bathroom.
Il Giglio: The red lily, the emblem of Florence, adorns the ceiling of this large double/triple room. There is an en-suite bathroom and a sofa-bed. This room is particularly suitable for families.
La Lira: This ancient instrument dominates the elegant fresco on the ceiling of this neo-classical room, depicting also bows, arrows and seasonal fruits. It is a single room, with private bathroom (just outside) and upon request can be joined to the former room.
I Putti: Two embracing angels encircle the late eighteenth century ceiling decoration of this room. It can be made into a large double, triple or quadruple room, with a leather sofa-bed. The en-suite bathroom and shower-room are separate.
Studiolo: A pretty single room with a wrought-iron French bed and frescoed ceiling, with a private bathroom just outside.
In the common room we have set up an Internet corner with two desks at our guests' disposal. This service is free.Breakfast - Italian or Continental - is served in a large breakfast room, where our guests will find mineral water and a kettle for preparing tea or coffee throughout the day until late evening.
