The charming Hotel & Apartments Borgo Grondaie, built out of an old Tuscan farm, just two kilometres out of Siena centre, was completely renovated in 2001. Although it's rural and rustic setting, Borgo Grondaie offers guests all the facilities of a modern hotel. Located in the middle of a secular park, it's a perfect base to visit Siena and for day trips in the Wine Region. The accommodation is partly hotel with rooms, and partly residence with independent apartments
In the main building we have realized 16 wonderful apartments with a fully equipped kitchenette, satellite TV and air-conditioning units in all rooms. Several apartments have their own open space, such as balcony or a private front yard. The property is located only 300 m. from the best grocery store in Siena; it's incredibly suitable for your holidays in one of our apartments.
The 12 hotel rooms are located in the white dependence, the old country house. They are all decorated according to the Tuscan style, are pretty large and comfortable and offer modern services such as satellite TV, phone with direct line, mini-bar, security safe and air conditioning.
Our enotheque (wine bar) offers the perfect atmosphere for tasting the wines coming from all over Italy. The great wines of Tuscany, our region, are highly recommended. On request, we also organize for our guests individual excursions to the most famous wine producers of the region, such as Dievole, Terrabianca or Castello di Brolio.
