Hotel Posta is located on the elegant walking street in the heart of Saint-Vincent, a town of shopping and city events in the heart of Aosta Valley. Run by its owners, the hotel boasts of a long tradition of hospitality and the staff is always friendly and courteous. The strategic location combines comfort with our guests' needs. Their stay will be relaxing and pleasurable. The hotel has been recently renovated with the original 1950's style. The Hotel Posta offers 36 rooms including 4 suites and 2 rooms equipped for the handicapped. The restaurant offers Italian cuisine in a typical Aosta Valley atmosphere complete with a fireplace as well as a more modern dining room.
All the rooms have direct-line telephone, mini-bar, TV, radio, bathroom with tub or shower, blow dryer and air conditioningif asked for. The rooms have beautiful views of the heart of downtown Saint-Vincent and the surrounding mountains; some have balconies and others look to the peaceful inner courtyard.
Special care is taken to clean our rooms and serve our guests. We offer a small café, a tea room, an outdoor café under old chestnut trees, a sun terrace and a TV room with VCR/DVD. The convention room allows one to watch presentations on a large screen and the possibility to connect to Internet.
The hotel is known for its quaint and sunny café. Right across the street is the beautiful St-Vincent church. The view of the Romanesque apse built in 1153 AD is just outside the window.
Our clientele find themselves in the midst of ancient history, beginning with the Romans and moving through the Medieval Era. In this background one can sip a warming cup of herbal tea or taste an aperitif. The outdoor café of Hotel alla Posta is open not only to its guests but also to the public. Any passer-by who wants to admire the church and surroundings may sit and drink a cappuccino and taste a homemade tart.
Surrounded by the greenery of the garden the outdoor café offers serenity and calm. The sunshine in winter and spring and the cool of the shade in summer complete your health spa holiday in the thermal climate of Saint-Vincent. The micro-climate allows for little change in temperature between the winter and the summer months.
The Hotel alla Posta prides itself for its attention to details in the kitchen. The simplicity of the "down home" cooking combined with the region's traditions make for a pleasurable experience for guests. Our restaurant has two dining rooms. One, "Lo Pejo", with its typical mountain style architecture boasts of tamarack wood and a fire place to warm the atmosphere. The second area is more classic and modern.
Hotel alla Posta has a wonderful terrace for lying in the sun and tanning solarium. One can sit in peace and admire the beautiful surroundings of the Valley and all its peaks.
