When architecture becomes art
B&B "Alla Fontanella" is a lovely house located on the Venice mainland, in Oriago, more precisely in the new residential area in the town centre, just a few minutes drive from the motorway exit (A4 Milan-Venice, exit Oriago-Mira), and two minutes walk from the new railway station Venezia Porta Ovest, from where you can reach Venice in only 12 minutes and Mestre in 7 minutes.
Restaurants, pizzerias, shops, a small shopping centre, a supermarket, a gym are just a few steps from the B&B. Moreover unspoilt countryside surrounds the area, with its parks, the famous villas (Ville Venete), the enchanting Rivera of the River Brenta.
Hospitality, privacy, the guests' independence have always been our main concern. We have in fact created separate "suites", each made of a separate kitchen, bathroom and double room. All our suites, completely renovated with environmentally-friendly materials, have been adorned with works by artist Donatella Panzonato. Her works also give each suite its name, for example Mother Earth or Mountain Spring. On the ground floor there is also the artist's atelier, where you can admire more works of hers.
The house is detached, surrounded by a lovely garden with lavender, roses, Madonna lilies, small vines and there you can sit back and relax on benches and garden tables.Maybe you can sit near the "fontanella", the small fountain that gives the B&B its name - it is an important element with which the managers wanted to remember the old fountain that once was in its place, the fountain that provided water to all the neighbourhood in the old days. Within the green area around the house you can also find a car park for guests.
