Hotel Marmorata (4 stars hotel) is situated in an enchanting inlet of the Amalfi Coast, set on sheer rocks plunging into the sea. The Hotel was originally a paper-mill dating from the 15th Century owned by the Camera d'Afflitto family. It has now been converted into a Hotel and is personally managed by the family. Today, the natural waterfall that once powered the machinery flows down the hill on one side of the Hotel. Guests can enjoy the sensation of being gently swayed by a sea of extraordinary colours, constantly changing between deep azure and brilliant emerald, and home to the mythical sirens who tempted Homer's Ulysses with their enchanting singing..
As you cast your gaze from the windows of your room across the vast expanse of sea, your thoughts will turn to Venus, goddess of extraordinary beauty born of the sea. The Deluxe rooms are luxuriously appointed and equipped with en suite bathrooms with Jacuzzi. The jewels in the crown of Hotel Marmorata are the Junior Suites overlooking the sea, tastefully furnished with antiques and with direct access to a private garden.
From the moment breakfast is served in the Breakfast Room overlooking the sea, guests are imbued with the feeling of gliding along on a yacht. The Restaurant at Hotel Marmorata is of exceptional calibre. It offers a choice of regional dishes, with an emphasis on traditional classics. In fine weather lunch and dinner are served on the terraces, where guests feel in intimate contact with nature.
Hotel Marmorata has a swimming pool and private bathing area, which can be reached by a private access path.
Peaceful afternoons can be whiled away reading undisturbed, with the soothing sound of waves gently lapping against the rocks as an accompaniment. A finely-tuned ear can hear the distant meowing of dolphins from the peace and quiet of the terraces that look out over the sea.
