L'Ultimo Mulino, one of the best hotels in Chianti Tuscany, originally was a Medieval Mill, has been carefully restored respecting its original historical structure, while at the same time allowing for all the modern amenities and comforts of a top Hotel. Modern and past are always mixed up, the modern swimming pool was the water millpond for the activation of the wooden wheel. The terrace where now you can enjoy breakfast and lunch, used to be the storeroom for the corn.

Many things will take you to the middle age when the wooden wheel was working, to reach your room you will have to pass on the millrace. Typical of the Chianti area is the main hall with its 13 arches.

Breakfast is usually served on the main hall, during the summer months is served outside on the terrace. In about 20 minutes drive you will be in Siena or San Gimignano, if you are interested in shopping you can find the most famous outlets of the Italian designers within 15 and 30 minutes drive
At our restaurant, located on the terrace near the small river, we serve the typical food of the Tuscan tradition, recipes we found reading our Grandmothers copy book of recipes. We pay attention on the products and goods we use, and modify the menu according to the seasonality of the products.
Upon reservation we can buy and cook for you almost any kind of gaming, vegetables etc. Should you like to eat the famous T-Bone steak we will take you to our butcher's shop to let you choose your own "Fiorentina".
Should you like to learn the secrets of the Tuscan recipes, we can organise a cooking class with our Chef. You will prepare a full meal following our Chef' suggestions.
