Torrenova is just between Sant'Agata di Militello and Capo d'Orlando, on the north coast of Sicily, at the foot of the great Nebrodi Natural Park. It is 70 km from Cefalù, 130 Km from Palermo, 150 km from Taormina, 45 minutes crossing to Aeolian Islands. The most interesting monuments in Torrenova are the Byzantine Church of St. Pietro in Deca and the Porta di Pietra di Roma (The stone gate of Rome) of the XVIII century, Nearby there are some interesting archaeological areas with remains of rural agglomerates of late-Norman period (Piano Grilli locality); remains of a Medieval bridge (Valle del Rosmarino locality); finds of Copper age and remains of a Roman farmhouse of the II-III centuries B.C. (Scudini locality).
