Sinnai (15 thousand inhabitants) is a charming town close to Cagliari, located on a terraced hillside sorrounded by the Serpeddì mounts and the Cagliary Gulf. Its territory is one of Sardinia's largest and its villages of S. Gregorio, Tasonis and Solanas are perfectly located in the Seven Brothers natural park and along the coast which leads to Villasimius. The local gastronomy is also very rich and deserves to be mentioned: cheeses, salamies and sausagies, olive oil, lamb, kid, pork and wild game. The "Grive" needs a special mention: boiled thrush spiced with myrtle leaves.
