Polcanto is in the San Lorenzo town area, the main centre of Mugello, just 8 kilometres from the ancient Etruscan and Roman centre of Fiesole and 16 kilometres from Florence. The town has ruins of 14th Century fortifications, including the famous Clock Tower. From a historical and artistic point of view, do not miss the Pieve di San Lorenzo Church from the 13th Century and the l’Oratorio dei Miracoli from the 17th Century. The local production of artistic ceramics is just another major attraction.
