Loro Ciuffenna is a charming medieval town on the slope of Monte Pratomagno, one of the highlights on the scenic "Sette Ponti" Route. The name Loro Ciuffenna is derived from the original "Loro" which refers to the mountain laurel found in the area and Ciuffenna, added in the 1860s which refers to the abundance of deer. Loro Ciuffenna is about 30 minutes south of Florence, east of Montevarchi from the Valdarno exit from A1 (Autostrada del Sole).
