The Island of Salina is the most central among the ones forming the Aeolian Islands Archipelago (Unesco Site since 2002). On the island live 2000 residents.
Its beaches are among the most beautiful, the sea is crystal blue. This island has been the set of many movies.
The cliffs maintain a wild and untouched habitat, one of the nicest in Sicily: many secluded small beaches are accessible only via sea: a paradise for those practising underwater diving.
The highest mount (reaching an altitude of 961 meters) offers a fantasting view on the other Aeolian Islands.
